Dr Efstathios Diakos graduated from the University of Rome in 1994 with a thesis on male infertility. After moving to the UK, he completed specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and gained entry to the GMC Specialist Register in 2004. He trained at Newcastle Fertility Centre and Bourn Hall Clinic, Cambridge, and is accredited by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in Management of the Infertile Couple and Assisted Reproduction. With special interests in male infertility, diminished ovarian reserve, and fertility preservation, he achieved Ireland's first pregnancy using frozen eggs. Since 2011 he's worked across Irish clinics including Origin Fertility Belfast and as Medical Director at Sims IVF Cork. In 2019, he founded In-OVO Fertility Clinic in Belfast to provide personalized assisted conception treatment.
